We built this hangar in 2006 with the intent of moving into it as we built our
retirement home on this peaceful airpark, but the economy and
family considerations have changed our plans.

This hangar is 4300 sq ft and has a 200+ square foot loft.
The 50' x 16' Hydroswing door will accommodate almost any aircraft.

We have plans for a home that was designed to be attached to the hangar.
You can have those, or come up with your own. You can also build your
home without attaching it to the hangar. The best part is that you don't
have to rent space to store your belongings/airplane while you build your home!
You can be right there to oversee the construction.

The runway is 200' wide and is crowned. Total runway length is 3130' and it
is beautifully smooth! Landing north, there is 2930' feet available,
and landing south, there is 2630' available. Your nearly 7 acre lot extends
to the center of the runway and is wooded on the back. The lot is sloped
on the back and would be excellent for a walkout basement.
Deer and wild turkeys are abundant and can be seen most evenings.

The property is located south of Hurst, IL.
We are 5.5 nm by air from KMDH (Carbondale, IL) Home of Southern Illinois
University where you have all the amenities offered by a college town!
We are 8.5 nm by air from KMWA (Marion, IL). We have city water and fire
hydrants already along the runway.
